Victor Canivell, speaker at our 2018 annual meeting
In the beginning of the year of our 30th anniversary, we have celebrated our annual 2018 meeting.
This time were honoured with the participation of Víctor Canivell, who, getting us closer to the latest technological trends, explained the current status, vision and perspectives of quantum computing.
After an interesting review of his professional career in the world of management of leading technology companies, such as Hewlett Packard or Silicon Graphics, Víctor Canivell has focused his priorities as Business Advisor, mainly on the support for start-up technology and quantum computing companies.
This new technology, yet in its initial stage of development, is expected to play a prominent role in the treatment of algorithms and solving mathematical problems that today cannot be addressed under digital computing.
Víctor Canivell highlighted the so-called “q-bit” as the basic concept on which quantum computing is based. Unlike the”bit” classic digital model, limited to only two possible states, quantum computing is envisioning the information unit “q-bit” with several overlapped status at the same time.
The meeting ended with the traditional dinner-cocktail, in which our professionals had the opportunity to share and discuss with Víctor aspects of the trending technology and the future impact on logical security, data transmission and information systems.
